Our Webmaster, Ronald Kraft is an experienced webmaster, programmer, and website designer whose technical background combines engineering, computer systems, and modern web development. With decades of experience in technology and programming, he brings a rare combination of analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and creative website design to every project he works on.
Ron earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. His engineering education provided a strong foundation in mathematics, logic, systems analysis, and technical problem solving. After graduation, he began his professional career with Burroughs Corporation, where he worked as a Systems Engineer specializing in database design and large computer systems.
During his years at Burroughs, Ron developed expertise in systems analysis, programming, data management, and computer operations. He worked on large-scale business computing systems and learned the importance of efficiency, reliability, and structured design. His experience with databases and enterprise systems helped him understand how information should be organized, processed, and presented — skills that later became extremely valuable in website development and search engine optimization.
After retiring from the corporate world, Ron decided to pursue his growing interest in web technology and website development. He attended Winthrop University, where he studied the programming languages and technologies used to build modern websites and internet applications. His studies included HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and other web-related technologies that form the foundation of today’s internet.
Unlike many web designers who rely entirely on templates or drag-and-drop tools, Ron understands the underlying code structure that powers websites. His technical knowledge allows him to troubleshoot problems, optimize performance, improve SEO, and customize websites beyond standard page-builder limitations. This gives him an advantage in creating websites that are not only visually appealing, but also functional, fast-loading, mobile-friendly, and optimized for search engines.
Ron later founded South Park Web Design, where he specializes in WordPress website development, SEO, local business websites, ecommerce sites, and custom web solutions for small businesses. His approach combines professional design with practical business strategy. He understands that a website should do more than look attractive — it should help businesses generate leads, improve visibility on Google, and support long-term growth.
Over the years, Ron has worked with a wide variety of businesses, helping them improve their online presence through modern website design and search engine optimization.
